Final Incident Update: Midnight Fire 100% Contained, Fire Crew Preparing to Demobilize
Ola, Idaho – Idaho Department of Lands wildland firefighters held the Midnight fire at 49.3 acres, achieving 100% containment last night. The fire occurred approximately six miles north of Ola and roughly five miles east of 3rd Fork Road.

A combined 24 IDL and contracted firefighters remain on scene this morning. They will continue mopping up throughout the day and demobilize this evening.
IDL appreciates the strong support provided by Gem County Fire Protection District #2 out of Sweet, Idaho, and the capable contract crew members provided by PatRick Corporation.
This is the final update for the Midnight Fire.

New Incident: IDL Battling 49-Acre Midnight Fire North of Ola
Ola, Idaho – IDL fire personnel responded to a wildfire reported early this morning at 12:43 a.m. MT in Gem County. The Midnight Fire is located approximately six miles north of Ola, Idaho, roughly five miles east of 3rd Fork Road.

This 49-acre fire started in an area with challenging access, but 30 firefighters including IDL and contracted personnel, one engine and one dozer are on scene aggressively, yet safely, working to suppress it. IDL is grateful for assistance provided by personnel from Gem County Fire Protection District #2 in Sweet, Idaho, who responded early this morning.
While no structures are threatened at this time, if evacuations become necessary, they will be ordered by the Gem County Sheriff's Office.
Although the incident is currently 0% contained, fire managers expect full containment by 8:00 p.m. MT on Friday. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Final Incident Update: The 490-acre #wilkinsgulchfire in Idaho County, about nine miles outside Grangeville, is currently 60% contained. Fire activity is minimal. Today, crews are focused on mopping up and patrolling the fire line. Significant rain fell over the area last night and more rain is likely today. Tomorrow will be cloudy and cool.

Incident Update: The 65-acre Kettenbach Fire is burning on private land several miles northeast of Culdesac, in Nez Perce county, Idaho. Two engine crews are monitoring fire activity today, which is burning at low intensity, mostly in grass. No structures are threatened. The fire area received significant precipitation last night and more rain is likely today. Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy and cool.

Incident Update: Firefighters are responding to the 65-acre #kettenbachfire, located 2 to 3 miles northeast of the town of Culdesac, Idaho, in Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) Craigmont Supervisory Area protection. The fire was reported at approximately 02:30 p.m. PT. Four engines, two water tenders, one Type 1 helicopter, one dozer, one hand crew, and a Type 3 Incident Commander are on the scene or enroute. No structures are threatened. Rain is expected over the fire area tonight or tomorrow.

A new fire was reported at approximately 02:30 p.m. PT within Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) Craigmont Supervisory Area protection. Estimates of fire size range from 40 to 100 acres. An update will be forthcoming as soon as more information is available.

New Incident: Firefighters are at the scene of a 150-acre fire approximately 9 miles outside Grangeville. The fire is in Wilkins Gulch, heading toward Rock Creek, burning through grass, brush, and wheat stubble. 3 engines and 2 helicopters are onsite; more resources will arrive this evening.
